The popular Swiss News “Blick” is now available as App on the Apple Watch. In cooperation with the Berlin-based agency Neofonie Mobile the leading Swiss publisher Ringier launched their App for the wrist. The Smartwatch App, which is now available on the Apple App Store, was developed on native-basis to keep the power consumption of Apples first watch on a minimum.
Ringier expand the digital services consistently
Ringier has set itself the goal, to take account of modern media use in its daily business. To bring the content of the most widely read Swiss tabloid “Blick” to the Apple Watch shows that Ringier will follow this path.
Smartphone and Smartwatch Apps go hand in hand
The heart of the new Apple Watch App, which was developed in the same UX/UI design as the iPhone App, displays the Top News – consisting of Catch-line titles and the Lead-in of the the latest top releases. With the swipe function, the user can comfortably slide from one message to the next. To read more, there is also a direct access to the iOS App on the iPhone. By selecting the integrated icon on the lock screen of the smartphone, the user can then read further information in comfort on their Phone. In addition, transfer of push messages is integrated, thereby latest news appear automatically for the user to see.
