Even in the digital age, pharmacies have to meet the high expectations of their customers and be digitally represented with an app. Therefore, a solution was needed to provide all W&B customers with an app that would present the individual services in an appealing way and could be put together in a highly flexible way. Neofonie developed a specially designed app construction kit for this purpose.
Each app is based on a white label solution that Wort&Bild Verlag makes available to its customers. Pharmacies can create their content with the help of app templates and thus create an individual app for their pharmacy in no time at all. This is then available in the App Store and provides users with essential information from the local pharmacy. In addition to the standard functions, such as the integration of individual content and the geo-based pharmacy emergency service, pharmacies can also put together their own individual app. Various modules such as medication scanner, interaction check, elixir magazine or reservation and reminder functions are available for this purpose. Each local pharmacy can bring the standard version for iOS and Android as a smartphone app or the individual app additionally as an iOS tablet app to the App Store. The main focus of the redesign was to improve usability, enabling pharmacies to put together their online services even more easily and quickly.
The final app tells users where the nearest emergency pharmacy is, including directions to it, and contains easy-to-understand information on around 45,000 drugs. In addition, the app “Apotheke vor Ort” regularly provides users with new articles on health, medicine, sports and nutrition via the connection to the publishing house.
Wort & Bild Verlag is the leading provider of health media in Germany. With a total circulation of around 15 million copies sold each month and more than 39 million reader contacts, the publishing house is the market leader in the health magazine sector.
